We’re all aware of the need to become carbon neutral and reduce our green footprint, but in practice, what does this all mean and where do you go to access the relevant advice and support?
Cumbria Business Growth Hub is pleased to bring together Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS), ECO I NW and Electricity NW, giving businesses a chance to hear about the support on offer and funding pots which can be tapped into. Each organisation will explain how they can support Cumbrian businesses through advice, resources and/or funding.
CAfS (through funding from South Lakeland District Council) deliver webinars and events, one-to-one support and sector specific support. They also offer a free carbon calculator available to any SME in Cumbria and have various resources you can tap into as well as signposting to other support.
ECO I NW draws on regional research and development capabilities to support low carbon business innovation across Cumbria and aims to deliver a transition to a low carbon economy across all business sectors.
Electricity NW will discuss Net Zero: What It Means for Businesses and how they can help.
Taking place online on Tuesday, 17th May 1-2.30pm, this is a great first step towards going green, especially when we’re all now tightening our belts due to raising energy and supply chain costs.
