Eden District Council Apprentice Scheme Now for All Ages
EDEN District Council have widened their apprenticeship grant to include all ages for the first time.
The Eden Apprenticeship Scheme offers a grant of up to £2,000 for local firms who take on an apprentice, whether they be new or existing employees taking an apprenticeship qualification.
The scheme which is aimed at businesses of all sectors, includes hospitality, accounting, engineering and care services, to name a small few.
The grant has currently supported over 50 businesses within the district and there is now no longer an upper age limit.
This will be of benefit to both employees who may be looking to re-train / develop new skills later in their careers and employers who wish to consider taking on a wider age range of people.
