In April 2018 businesses on Penrith Industrial Estate, Gilwilly and Eden Business Park voted in favour of forming a Business Improvement District (BID). This culminated in a five-year business plan of improvements and initiatives prompted by priorities identified by the businesses themselves to improve the business environment on what is now known as Penrith Business Parks.
Over the past four years, the Penrith Industrial BID Directors and the management team have worked hard to implement those initiatives and bring about a positive change to the Business Parks.
On 30th September 2023, the first term of Penrith Industrial BID comes to an end. BIDs are elected for a five-year term at the end of which a renewal ballot is required to decide whether businesses wish for it to continue for a second term.
It has been agreed that this will take place during March 2023.
Much has been achieved since its inception back in 2018 but the Directors feel that there is much more to do as well as continuing and maintaining all those areas already put in place such as seagull controls, litter collection, training, CCTV, mobile security patrols etc.
It is with this in mind that the board is seeking your ideas and suggestions which would form a business plan for the next 5 years.
As you will be aware the BID is a business-led organisation and it is YOU who will decide about its future as well as those projects and initiatives which are taken forward.
Please, get involved and spend a few minutes completing the survey to have your say on the areas highlighted in the survey as well as anything else you would like to see done.
